Academic Mentoring
Struggling in your classes? Feeling overwhelmed? Never had to study in high school?
Academic Mentors work with students during private one-on-one weekly appointments to provide strategic support and guidance throughout the semester. Academic Mentors are trained to recognize the strengths and weaknesses of their mentees and how to best support their academic goals and as accountability partners. During the meetings, Academic Mentors provide students with resources, share their knowledge on how to be successful in school and offer suggestions on how to improve the student’s overall college experience. Mentors are there to help with skills like:
- time management
- goal setting
- habit tracking
- note taking
- test taking
- reading comprehension
- and more.
